Pay: $41,600 – $72,800 annually, Pay Commensurate with Experience 

Summary: 

We’re looking for experienced Diesel Technicians to join our team! As a Diesel Technician, you’ll perform repairs  and maintain diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications. Your  attention to details makes you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are of quality workmanship and  completed on time. 

Ideal candidate is positive, dependable, trustworthy, detail oriented, and can work independently with little direction,  one who continuously looks for ways to improve processes, is relationship focused and demonstrates that they can  troubleshoot issues on demand. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose customer complaints, perform repairs to engine, driveline, brakes (air, hydraulic and electric), and aftertreatment systems
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and  factory standards 
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and performs repair 
  • Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools and equipment Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Communicate with service advisor/foreman immediately if additional work is needed and obtains approval before proceeding
  • Document work performed and recommended on repair order
  • Order parts according to dealership procedures
  • Tag all warranty parts and return all dirty cores to parts in a timely manner
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area
  • Maintains and is accountable for dealer-owned tools, equipment and manuals
  • Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Perform repairs in a timely manner set by the manufacturers standard repair time guidelines Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
  • Post Secondary vocational education strongly preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
  • State Inspection License preferred
  • Mechanical repair and diagnostics, minimum 2 years preferred
  • Mack or Isuzu Certification, Master Tech preferred
  • Ability to focus on efficiency
  • Effective oral & written communication
  • Ability to use a laptop for diagnostics and document work performed
  • Possess a positive attitude, conduct, and appearance
  • Minimum tool requirement
  • Must be reliable, honest, and trustworthy
